Electric cars are dirty because they use electricity generated from burning coal.
A Tesla model S needs 20 kWh of energy to travel 100 km.
A comparable petrol car needs 10 liters of petrol to travel 100 km.
One liter of petrol contains 9.7 kWh of energy.
A petrol car needs about 97 kWh of energy to travel 100 km.
A petrol car of the same weight as a Tesla Model S uses five times as much energy to travel the same distance.
Even if an electric car uses 100% coal burning generated power, witch they never do, it’s still much cleaner per kilometer than a petrol car.
Not disputable, don’t bother to comment.
